Home Gym Tracker (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use homegymtracker.com (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Most of the Service can be used without an account. A few features — such as subscribing to price-alert emails — require you to sign in. We collect limited information in the following ways:
- Log & usage data. When you visit the Service, our servers may automatically record information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and the date and time of your request. This data is used for security, debugging, and aggregated analytics.
- Cookies. We may use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences (such as sort order or filters) and to keep you signed in. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of you.
- Account information. If you choose to sign in, we store the email address you use to sign in and a unique identifier provided by our identity provider. We do not store your password, and we do not collect your name, profile picture, phone number, or payment information.
- Email alert preferences. If you subscribe to price-alert emails, we store your subscription status (on or off) and the timestamp of the most recent alert email we sent you. The timestamp is used to avoid sending you the same alert twice.
- Product analytics. We record non-identifying product-usage events — for example, when an alert subscription is enabled or disabled, when an alert email is sent, and which pages are viewed — so we can understand in aggregate which features are useful and which are broken.
- Product & pricing data. We collect publicly available product and pricing information from merchant websites. This data relates to products, not to you.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To display price history, sales, and all-time-low detection on tracked products.
- To authenticate you and provide features that require an account.
- To send price-alert emails for products you have subscribed to.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, fraud, or technical issues.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers who run the servers and databases that power the Service.
- Identity / authentication provider. When you sign in, our identity provider receives and stores your email address and authentication credentials on our behalf.
- Email delivery provider. When we send you a price-alert email, your email address and the contents of the message are processed by a transactional email vendor on our behalf.
- Product analytics provider. The non-identifying usage events described above are sent to an analytics vendor that processes them on our behalf.
- Legal and safety disclosures, where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.
Each of these providers processes information only for the purpose of delivering the service we have engaged them for, under their own terms and security commitments.
4. Affiliate & Outbound Links
The Service contains links to merchant websites. Some of those links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase after clicking through. Once you leave our Service, the privacy practices of the destination site apply. We encourage you to review their policies.
5. Data Retention
We retain log data for the period reasonably necessary to operate and secure the Service. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained for longer periods for analytical purposes.
Account records and alert-subscription records are kept for as long as your account is active and are deleted on request (see Section 6). The “last alert email sent” timestamp is kept for as long as your subscription exists so that we can avoid sending you the same alert twice.
6. Your Choices
- You can configure your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of the Service may not function properly without them.
- You can unsubscribe from price-alert emails at any time by signing in and turning off alerts on any product page.
- You can request deletion of your account and its associated subscription data by emailing us at the address below. We will remove the account record and deactivate any subscriptions tied to it.
- Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. Contact us to exercise any such rights.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
